Going home

I’m writing this on a plane, going home.

It’s my umpteenth flight in the past three months, on a trip involving three cities in five days.

Why?

Because sometime during 2017 Springday caught the attention of the insurance industry, not only in Australia but also in Asia and by next year we will have expanded there, both for corporates and insurance.

I’ll tell you more in January but suffice to say it’s been a big year for us, by anyone’s standards.

There have been huge highs – and the odd low too, if I’m being honest – but as the year rockets to an end I’m amazed by what we’ve achieved and excited by what the future holds.

Right now, though, I just want to say ‘thank you’ to my family (especially my babies), my friends, my team and to you, my colleagues, for walking this crazy road with me.

They say home is where the heart is, and my heart is with you all.

I wish you a wonderful holiday season, and an even more wonderful 2018.

What else is going on?

This year, we won a battle around equality but we haven’t yet won the war. As this Ted clip shows, even a monkey can see when things aren’t fair, I might have shared this with you before, but it’s so beautiful and so full of Christmas spirit, it’s worth a second look. See what happens when a little girl pays a street musician.

This is for all you HR managers out there – and for millennials. It’s the millennial job interview.

It’s Christmas, so I’m allowed one stupid cat clip, right? Here’s cats vs Christmas trees.
